Obama & Experience: stupid attacks

Perhaps the stupidest of the attacks on Senator Obama has been about his lack of "experience". Okay not the stupidest, definitely not as stupid as the drugs, Muslim, or attacks on his church. But perhaps the worst attack to be taken seriously by reasonable folks.
(note: I'm not going to get into an argument about political experience beyond Hillary's and Obama's senate careers and how much these should count, that is a separate argument).
Obama has said it is judgment not experience that counts. He is quite correct in this. Experience only counts because voters and pundits and the media typically ignore candidates who lack some sort of high electoral or appointed political positions for candidates for Senator, Governor, or President. The exceptions of veteran, self-funding millionaire, or general show how little experience matters (except frequently to the voters). Now if people want to make the case that voters are more likely to vote for McCain if Obama is the candidate rather then if it's Hillary, that is fine but don't try to make it sound like it will make her a better president.
